Am Back .....

With new recipes, methods of preparing the recipes and pictures of the cakes and sweets we are going to make. We are going to start with Honeycomb and Marshmallows. Also i have got other recipes to show you. Am not going to over load you with everything at once because have got new recipes for cookies and bars too! But like i said, we are going to start with Honeycomb and Marshmallows.


Honeycomb.

4 tablespoons golden syrup
200g caster sugar
3 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda

Method
Prep: 5 minutes and it takes 10 minutes to cook.

1, Line a 20cm square cake tin or slice tray. 

2, In a large saucepan, heat the golden syrup and sugar together, bring to the boil then simmer on low heat for 5-10 minutes. Cooking time will vary but test it by dropping a little syrup into water - it should become brittle when ready. Watch it doesn't burn


3, Remove pot from heat and add the bicarb. Quickly mix it in because the mixture will foam up instantly.

 
4, Pour immediately into the cake tin.
 5, Leave to set then break into bite size chunks. 
Tip
Make your very own design by dipping melted chocolate, on pieces of honeycomb  then letting them set on a piece of greaseproof paper!

   Tip
Make your own Ice Cream/ buy your Ice Cream and add some of the little chunks into your Ice Cream.
